ABOUT JUNBO

Junbo Qiu is a Chinese writer-director based in London. His films explore humanity through imaginative storytelling, often blending speculative concepts with emotional intimacy. He earned his BA from the Beijing Film Academy and his MA in Directing Fiction from the National Film and Television School in the UK.

His work has screened at Academy Award– and BAFTA-qualifying festivals. His sci-fi short Oneiros received the MPSE Golden Reel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing. His debut feature, currently in development, was selected for the BIF Market at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. His earlier sci-fi short Zeroth Law was broadcast on China Central Television (CCTV-6). His video art installation work has also been exhibited at the Kyoto City Museum of Art.
