ABOUT JUNBO
Junbo Qiu is a Chinese writer-director based in the UK, with a BA from the Beijing Film Academy and an MA in Directing Fiction from the National Film and Television School. His work explores themes of humanity through poetic and imaginative lenses, often blending speculative concepts with emotional intimacy.
His sci-fi short ‘Zeroth Law’ was broadcast on Channel 6 of China Central Television and received multiple awards at international festivals, including the First Glance Film Festival Philadelphia, the Orlando Film Festival, and the Beijing International Science Film Festival.
His latest short, ‘Oneiros’, a meditative exploration of memory and solitude, shot with infrared-modified cameras, continues his pursuit of formally inventive and psychologically resonant storytelling.
